For their opening weekend of December 29-31 Ridley Scott's ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD would be the top new release at the box-office but would fade over the Oscar season as Paul Thomas Anderson's PHANTOM THREAD expanded and became the object of cinephiles fascination.
